Sparky Eltos AD (Sparky Eltos AD, trademark - “Sparky”) is a power tool factory in the city of Lovech ( Bulgaria ), is the largest European manufacturer of power tools, producing more than 1 million products per year [1] . The plant is owned by Sparky Group [2] .

History
In 1961, the Eltos enterprise was created [2] on the basis of the Elprom factory founded in 1905, which specialized in the production of electric motors with power up to 630 watts.
At the end of 1966, a license was purchased from AEG- Telefunken for the production of hand-held power tools. At the very beginning, three types of drills were mastered in production, and subsequently angle grinders — the famous “grinders” and wrenches . In 1966, a production capacity of 500,000 products was achieved [2] .
For several years, the plant has become a leading manufacturer of power tools in Eastern Europe. .
In 1986, a new expansion of the plant was carried out due to the introduction of automatic lines from AXIS (Italy) for the production of rotors and stators, an automated production line from Menke GmbH (Germany) for the production of manifolds, multiposition Schutte machines for the manufacture of rotational parts and CNC machines for machining aluminum and magnesium body parts. Production capacity has increased to 1,200,000 power tools per year.
In 1998, the company’s shares were listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange [3] .
In 1997-2003, investments of € 15 million were made, which made it possible to master a new range of products, new technologies and equipment, introduce CAD / CAM systems, and train administrative and engineering personnel.
In 2004-2005, an investment program in the amount of 5 million euros was implemented, which made it possible to improve machining, introduce injection molding, die casting, and upgrade tooling and instrumentation.
In 2006, the plant began production of products under the new brand SPARKY PROFESSIONAL [1] .
Production Certification
The plant has international quality certificates ISO 9001 (certified by TÜV Rheinland ), ISO 14001 .
The technical laboratory is certified by the Dutch RvA Accreditation Council and meets the accreditation criteria in ISO / IEC 17025 : 1999.
