Biography
Alexander Juncker was born on August 26, 1795. Entered military service on August 4, 1811. He took part in the Patriotic War of 1812 , for his distinction he was awarded the Order of St.. Anna 4th degree.
In 1831, Junker fought against the rebel Poles and was awarded the Order of St.. Anna of the 2nd degree with the imperial crown and the Polish mark of distinction for military dignity ( Virtuti Militari ) 3rd degree.
On December 6, 1836, he was promoted to major general and appointed commander of the 2nd brigade of the 10th infantry division . In 1838 he was awarded the Order of St.. Vladimir 3rd degree, December 1 of the same year for the immaculate service he received the Order of St.. Georgy 4th degree (No. 5684 according to the list of Grigorovich - Stepanov).
On December 6, 1847, Junker was promoted to lieutenant general and was soon appointed head of the 22nd infantry division , and from 1855 was for special assignments with the commander of all reserve and reserve infantry troops.
Among other awards Juncker had orders of St.. Stanislav 1st degree (1845) and of sv. Anna of the 1st degree (1851, the imperial crown to this order was granted in 1854).
He died in Moscow on January 22, 1860, and was buried at the Vvedensky cemetery of other beliefs .
