Biography

Born on January 29, 1921 in the village of Byk, now in the Romanovsky district of the Saratov region. Russian

In 1939 he graduated from 10 classes of high school, in 1940 - the Saratov flying club .

In the army since June 1940 . In 1942 he graduated from the Engels Military Aviation Pilot School. A veteran of the Great Patriotic War since June 1943 as a flight commander of the 807th assault aviation regiment. He fought on the North Caucasus, South, 4th Ukrainian, Leningrad, 2nd and 3rd Baltic fronts. He took part in breaking through the enemy’s defense on the Mius and Molochnaya rivers, in the liberation of Donbass, Crimea, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1944 . By September 1944, it made 142 sorties on the Il-2 attack aircraft , destroyed 18 tanks, 29 vehicles, 2 railway trains and many other military equipment. In total, during the war years, he made 184 sorties, destroying a significant amount of military equipment and manpower of the enemy.

In 1947 he graduated from the Higher School of Navigators ( Krasnodar ). He continued to serve in the Air Force. Since 1960, Lieutenant Colonel V. N. Sidorin is in stock. Colonel ( 1975 ).

He lived and worked in the city of Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod ).

In the mid-1970s, he moved to the city of Krasny Sulin, Rostov Region, worked as an electrician, chief of staff of the Civil Defense of the city.

He died on September 8, 1992, was buried in a cemetery in the village of 50 years of October [1] , the city of Krasny Sulin .
