Geography
Location
24 km to the north-west from Zhlobin , 2 km from the railway station Krasny Bereg (on the Bobruisk- Zhlobin line ), 117 km from Gomel .
Hydrography
On the western edge of the Dobosna River (a tributary of the Dnieper River ). In the north and east, reclamation canals.
Transportation Network
Transport links on the country, and then the highway Bobruisk - Gomel. The layout consists of a rectilinear street oriented from the southeast to northwest, to which the short rectilinear street joins the northeast. In the north, a small detached building plot. Apartment buildings are wooden, manor type.
History
The ancient settlement discovered by archaeologists (0.15 km east of the village), burial mounds (3 and 7 embankments in the ancient settlement and the eastern outskirts) indicate the settlement of these places since ancient times. According to written sources, it has been known since the 19th century as the Gorbachevskaya Slobodka in the Lukovo volost of the Rogachev district of the Mogilev province . Since 1880, a bread store was operating.
In 1932, a collective farm was organized. 36 residents died on the fronts of World War II . According to the 1959 census, as part of the economy of the Krasnoberezhsky Agricultural College (the center is the village of Krasny Bereg ).
