Geography

The farm is located at the confluence of two mountain rivers: Maratuchka and Kusha, in the mountain forest zone. Once had a connection with the city of Apsheronsk on the narrow gauge railway. Now the latter connects it with the villages of Chernihiv and Remote.

History

Kushinka Farm was founded in 1895 by Hamshen Armenians who came from Western Turkey. Approximately equal numbers of the Armenian population and the Russian population live in it (mainly immigrants from the North of Russia). It used to have its own school, a club, a blacksmith shop, a public bathhouse, a paramedic station, a water mill (saved as a museum object) worked.

Infrastructure

Have your own shop. There are no roads for cars, the narrow gauge railway is in poor condition, the motor-car runs irregularly due to breakdowns and weather conditions.
