B-1 (snow and swamp-going vehicle)

B-1 Vityaz is a Soviet snow and swamp-going vehicle . Created in 1967 by the special design bureau Gazstroymashina in collaboration with the ZIL design bureau with extensive use of ready-made units. It was a flatbed truck with a standard ZILovskaya tracked cab. A wide rubber-metal tape was used, providing a very small specific ground pressure. Pneumatic tires were used as rollers. [one]
