Short Biography
Born December 14, 1931 in the village. Gemur of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . He studied at the Yerevan Art College. F.P. Terlemezyan (1954), where his mentors were E. Vartanyan, T. Mirzoyan, G. Chubaryan, A. Sargsyan. Since 1956 he lived and worked in the Chelyabinsk region , where he began working as a props sculptor in the Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theater. The first success was brought to him by the sculptural compositions “Tselinnik” (1958), “Student at a construction site” (1958), “Work tribune” (1976), “Welder-climber” (1977). Among his monumental sculptures installed in Chelyabinsk , a monument to Academician I.V. Kurchatov (1986, architect V.L. Glazyrin, B.V. Petrov, I.V. Talalay ) and a monument to Prokofiev (2000, architect E. V. Alexandrov), sculptural images “Sorrow” (1970), “Over the precipice” (1987), “Repression” (1990). [one]
