Quang Ngai ( Vietnamese. Quảng Ngãi , Th -nom 廣義 ) is a province in central Vietnam , on the coast of the South China Sea . The administrative center of the province - the city of provincial subordination Quang Ngai - is located 884 km from Hanoi and 835 km from Ho Chi Minh City .

Geography
Quang Ngai Province is located at almost the same distance from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In the north it borders with the province of Quangnam , in the south - with Bindin , in the east - with Zyalai and Kontum . The province is surrounded by mountains of the Cheongshon Range.
History
During the Vietnam War , the province was a stronghold of the forces of Vietnam . The world-famous massacre in Songmi , as a result of which the Americans killed more than 500 civilians.
