Biography

Born on November 6, 1949 in the village of Chitur in the Laksky district of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . In childhood, he studied at the studio of the national artist of Dagestan M. Yunusilau. In 1976 he graduated from the Dagestan Art College . He married and moved to the city of Navoi in Uzbekistan , where he directed the studio of the Farhad House of Culture; taught children modeling , chasing , woodcarving .

Creativity

He became known as a sculptor. His works, mainly sculptures and busts of historical figures of Uzbekistan, such as Amir Temur , Alisher Navoi , Ibn Sina , Sabir Rakhimov , adorn the streets of cities, various institutions and military units (more than 20 different Amirs of Temurs were made for them). In his native Dagestan, he created, winning contests, monuments to people like Partu Patima ( Kumukh village, 2004, the highest mountain monument), Hasan-Huseyn Kamalov , Huseyn Kushaev , Mirzabekov , Nariman Aliyev , Abdurakhman Daniyalov (2008), Rasul Gamzatov ( Makhachkala , 2010), Magomed-Salam Umakhanov , Amet-Khan Sultan ( Makhachkala ). He is also the author of the monument to Amet-Khan Sultan in Yaroslavl (2010), it is planned to erect a monument to Rasul Gamzatov of his work in Moscow (2011).

Repeatedly exhibited at the opening days of the Union of Artists of Uzbekistan and international exhibitions in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Sweden; they are in the Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan.

  • He was awarded the Silver Medal of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan (1999) and the Dustlik Order (2001).
