Geography
In the northwest it borders on the Thies region, in the north on the Diurbel region, in the northeast on the Kafrin region, in the east on the Kaolak region, in the south on the Gambia . In the west it is washed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean .
The historic attraction is the small town of Socone .
