Braham is a city in the districts of Isanti , Kaneibek , Minnesota , USA . According to the 2010 census, 1,793 people live in Braham. The city was recognized as the capital of Minnesota homemade pies. [1]

Geography
On an area of 4.20 km² (4.17 km² - land, 0.03 km² - water bodies). The city was isolated from Township Stanchfield .
History
A post office in Braham opened in 1891 [2] . The village was founded in 1899. The city on the railway in the town of Stanchfield was named by Brahams as employees of the railway company. The first church was built in 1899 [3] .
Population
According to the 2010 census, the population of Aisanti was 1793 people (of which 46.3% were men and 53.7% were women), there were 708 households and 457 families. Racial composition : white - 96.7%, African - Americans - 0.5%, Native Americans - 0.2%, Asians - 0.4, and representatives of two or more races - 2.1% [4] .
Of 708 households, 41.9% were cohabiting couples (19.5% with children under 18 years of age), women lived without husbands in 16.0% of households, men lived without wives in 6.6% of households, 35, 5% did not have a family. On average, 2.52 people were households, and the average family size was 3.09 people. 35.5% of the population lived alone, 15.1% were single elderly people (over 65) [4] .
The population of the city by age range was distributed as follows: 30.5% - residents under 18 years old, 56.7% - from 18 to 65 years old and 12.8% - aged 65 years and older. The average age of the population is 30.5 years. For every 100 females there are 86.4 males, while for 100 adult females there are already 83.9 males of comparable age [4] .
In 2014, out of 1310 able-bodied residents over 16 years old, 738 people had jobs. At the same time, men had a median income of $ 46,771 per year, compared to $ 36,406 of the average annual income for women. In 2014, the median income for a family was estimated at $ 47,083, for a household - at $ 42,868. The per capita income is $ 18,105. 21.4% of the total number of families and 23.6% of the total population were below the poverty line at the time of the census [4] .
