The arizona of Petelot ( lat. Arisaema petelotii ) is a perennial herb , a species of the genus Arizema ( Arisaema ) of the family Aroid ( Araceae ).

The species is named after the botanist Alfred Petelot ( Eng. (Paul) Alfred Pételot , 1885-after 1940) [2] .

Botanical description
Separated plants.
The underground rhizome is entirely or half, the outside is dark brown, purple on the fracture, densely cylindrical, 7-18 cm long, 4-6 cm in diameter.
Leaves
Leaves usually two. Petioles are green or purple-green, up to 60 cm long, at the base, 20-30 cm long, inserted into the vagina , forming a false stem , surrounded by several cataphills . Blade consists of three leaves, green; central leaf with petiole 1-4 cm long, from elliptical to oval, up to 30 cm long and 17 cm wide, rounded at the base; lateral leaflets are also petiolate, kosoovalny, acuminate at apex.
Inflorescences and flowers
Pedicle is colored as petioles, 7–12 cm long. The cover is green, without stripes, translucent. The tube is narrow porous, 4–7 cm long and 2–3 cm in diameter at the neck; the plate is deltoid-oval, up to 7 cm long and 5 cm wide, acute and pointed at the apex.
Cob bisexual in adult plants. The appendage is mostly green, 4-6 cm long, thin, densely covered with numerous filamentary sterile flowers , like a brush.
Blossoms in June - July.
Fruits
Fruits - reddish, egg-shaped berries about 5 mm in diameter.
Fruits October - November.
Spread
It is found in China ( Yunnan ) and Northeast Vietnam [3] .
Grows in humid mountain forests , on gravel, prefer shade, at an altitude of 800 to 1000 m above sea level.
