Biography
Born on January 6, 1954 in the village of Nogir, Prigorodny district of North Ossetia-Alania . Possessed good physical data. He began to engage in weightlifting with the honored trainer of the USSR - Vladimir Akoev . In 1970 he became the champion of the RSFSR . In 1980, he became the champion of the USSR , where he set a world record (182.5 kg in a snatch ). Also, he twice became the winner of the championships of the USSR, where he twice set a world record.
In 1981 he graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Sports of North Ossetian State University named after Kost Levanovich Khetagurov .
He worked as a coach at the Sports School .
He died on May 5, 2014 at the age of 60.
