The 27th South American Women's Volleyball Championship was held from September 26 to 30, 2007 in two cities of Chile ( Santiago and Rancagua ) with the participation of 8 national teams. The champion title for the 15th time in its history and for the 7th time in a row was won by the Brazilian national team .

Championship System
At the preliminary stage, 8 participating teams are divided into two groups. The two best teams from the groups go to the semifinals of the playoffs and determine the winners of the championship according to the elimination system. The final 5-8th places according to the same system are played by teams that took 3-4 places in groups.
