It comes from Saxony and moved to Courland in 1560, and from there at the beginning of the XVII century. moved to Poland, where its members began to be written Romer. Matvey Romer (died in 1690) was a Lithuanian general-feldzeichmeister .
Another branch of the genus migrated at the end of the XVIII century. from Saxony to Russia; from it Nikolai Fyodorovich Römer (1804–1889) is a full privy councilor, senator and member of the Board of Trustees of Public Charity institutions [1] .
Rod Römer is included in the noble matrix of the Courland province, in the VI part of the genealogy book of the Vilna province and in the II part of the genealogy book of the St. Petersburg province.
Emblem Description
In the red box are two crossed silver pilgrim staves, each with two buttons on the handle. In the crest are the same staves ending in three ostrich feathers. Basting red silver lined.
