Aleksandr Abramovich the Poacher ( 1905 - 1977 ) - Soviet volleyball functionary and arbitrator, the first chairman of the All-Union Volleyball Section . One of the organizers of the Soviet volleyball.
Biography
In 1932, the All-Union Volleyball Section, later the USSR Volleyball Federation, was allocated from the Manual Games Section of the All-Union Council of Physical Culture of the USSR. Alexander Potashnik, who headed the section until 1951, was elected chairman of the new organization. From 1934 he also headed the Presidium of the Volleyball Judges Board. Judge of the All-Union category (1936).
The author of the rules of the competition, the first manuals in volleyball (according to the method of teaching techniques and tactics of the game, judging the competition).
