Jedhonsufanh was the son of Pinejam I , the high priest of Amon and the actual ruler of Upper Egypt . His mother was probably Duathor-Henuttavi, the daughter of Ramses XI , the last ruler of the 20th dynasty , and his wife, Jedmutesanh, the singer Amon. Jedhonsufanh succeeded his brother Masahart as high priest Amon during a major unrest in Thebes.

There is practically no information about the time of the reign of Jedhonsufanh, and his very name became known only from the inscription on his son’s now lost sarcophagus. Jedhonsufanh was the high priest for only about a year, his stepbrother Menheperra became his successor. Perhaps Jedhonuefanh died a violent death during the riots in Thebes [1] .
