Biography

Born on January 24, 1915 on a Ganchuk farm (now the Proletarsky district of the Rostov region) in a peasant family. Russian

He graduated from the 3rd course of the Rostov Institute of Agricultural Mechanical Engineers [1] in 1937 .

In the Navy since 1937. In 1939 he graduated from the Naval College named after M.V. Frunze . He served in the Pacific Fleet. In 1942 - 1943 he participated in the reception of ships from the United States and their escort to the area of ​​deployment of the Northern Fleet.

In the battles of World War II from November 1943 . Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1944 .

Commanding the T-115 minesweeper, Lieutenant Captain A. Ivannikov participated in 104 military campaigns by January 1945 . His minesweeper, along with other ships, escorted 232 allied and domestic vehicles with military cargo, repelled 8 attacks by enemy submarines. In November-December 1944, during a polar night, a minesweeper under the command of A.I. Ivannikov made 28 combat exits to trawl fairways near the settlements of Petsamo (now Pechenga, Murmansk Region) and Kirkenes (Norway), destroying and defusing 110 enemy mines.

After the war, he continued to serve in the USSR Navy. In 1953 he graduated from advanced training courses for officers at the Naval Academy . Since 1960, the captain of the 1st rank A. Ivannikov - in stock, and then retired.

He lived in the city of Kaliningrad . He died on March 29, 1996, was buried in Kaliningrad.

Rewards
