Krasnoprudsky volost is a third-level administrative-territorial unit and a municipality with the status of a rural settlement in the Pskov region of the Pskov region of Russia .

The administrative center - the village of Kirovo - is located 40 km south of the city of Pskov .
Geography
The territory of the volost borders on the north with Yadrovskaya , in the east - with Karamyshevskaya volosts of the Pskov region , in the southeast - with the Porkhov district , in the south - with the Ostrovsky district , in the west - with the Palkinsky district .
History
Until 1924, this territory was mainly part of the Prud volost with its center in the village. Ponds and in Melekhov volost with the center in with. Ivanovo-Melekhovsky (Melekhovo) of the Pskov district of the Pskov province [3] .
The decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee on April 10, 1924 formed the enlarged Krasnoprudsky volost , which included the Krasnoprudsky village council (in the village of Krasnye Prudy (Ponds)), as well as the Volcheyamsky (in the village of Volchy Yamy), Krasnoyvanovsky (in the village of Krasno-Ivanovo [4 ] ), Melekhovsky (along the village of Melekhovo ), Lopatinsky Village Councils; in October 1925, the Zaikovsky Village Council (along the village of Zaykovo [5] ) was also allocated, in October 1926 - Sumetsky, in May 1927 - Gorbovsky (along the village of Gorbovo ) [3] .
In 1927, volosts, counties and provinces in the USSR were abolished, while village councils entered the Pskov and partly Karamyshevsky districts of the Pskov district of the Leningrad Region [6] .
In 1928, the Volcheyamsky village council was renamed to Rashnevsky (along the village of Rashnevo ), and Zaikovsky - to the Moskvinsky village council (along the village of Moskvino ). [6]
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of June 16, 1954, the abolished Gorbovsky Village Council was included in the Krasnoprudsky Village Council, and the abolished Rashnevsky Village Council in Moskvinsky [6] .
By a resolution of the Pskov Regional Assembly of Deputies dated January 26, 1995, all village councils in the Pskov region were renamed volosts, including the Krasnoprudsky village council turned into the Krasnoprudsky volost [6] .
The law of the Pskov region of February 28, 2005 also established the Krasnoprudsky volost municipality within the boundaries of the volost with the status of a rural settlement on January 1, 2006 as part of the Pskov district municipality with the status of a municipal district [7] .
The law of the Pskov region dated March 31, 2010 abolished the Moskvinsky volost and was included in the Krasnoprudsky volost with a center in the village of Kirovo [8] , the corresponding changes finally entered into force on January 1, 2011 [9] .
