Cooking
Thayaki is made using fresh or butter dough. The dough is laid out in the form of a fish for each side, then put the filler and fasten both halves. Then prepare until the formation of a golden crust on both sides [1] . The main ingredient of tayaki is a waffle , in which various fillings are added [2] .
History
Thayaki first started baking in the Nanivaya confectionery in Adzaba , Tokyo in 1909 , and now they can be found in all corners of Japan, especially on food courts of supermarkets and Japanese festivals.
They look like imagagayaki (今 川 焼 き) - thick cakes also filled with sweet adzuki bean paste or cream.
