Biography
Born December 12, 1923 on the Serebryany farm in the Morozovsky district of the Rostov region in a working class family. Russian
Together with his father he moved to the city of Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Region. Received an incomplete secondary education.
In the Red Army since June 1941 . Member of the Great Patriotic War since July 1941. He fought on the Voronezh and 1st Ukrainian fronts. He took part in the Battle of Kursk, in the liberation of Left-Bank Ukraine.
On foot the reconnaissance platoon reconnaissance platoon soldier Mikhail Erokhin on the night of September 22, 1943 crossed with a group of scouts to the right bank of the Dnieper at the Monastyryok hamlet (now within the city-type settlement of Rzhishchev, Kiev region of Ukraine) and immediately went into battle for the bridgehead. In hand-to-hand combat, he personally destroyed 13 and captured 2 Nazis, participated in repelling numerous enemy counterattacks.
He died in battle on November 10, 1943 . He was buried in a mass grave in the urban-type village of Rzhishchev , where his name is placed on the memorial plaque.

Our party and the government praised his merit for his homeland in the fight against the German invaders, conferring on him the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal [1] .
Rewards
- By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 23, 1943, for the exemplary performance of command missions on the front of the struggle against Nazi invaders and the courage and heroism shown at the same time, Red Army soldier Mikhail Erokhin was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
- He was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Star.
Memory
- A street in the city of Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Region, is named after Hero.
