Biography
Ruben Evgenievich Simonov was born July 1, 1953 in the family of Evgeny Simonov . Simonov’s family comes from Vladikavkaz Armenians , and the director’s surname is the Russianized Armenian surname “Simonyants” [2] . He graduated from the B.V.Schukin Theater Institute in 1974 (course of V.K. Lvov ). Immediately after graduation, he was invited to the troupe of the Drama Theater on Malaya Bronnaya for the role of Kostya in the play "Pokrovsky Gates". And the author of the play L. G. Zorin and the director of the play M. M. Kozakov did not regret their choice. During his work in the theater on Malaya Bronnaya, R.E. Simonov successfully played 18 roles, among them 7 leading: Kostik (Pokrovsky Gates), Kai (Cruel Intentions), Pestel (Lunin or Jacques' Death) ), Pavel (“ Enemies ”), Bodyansky (“The First-Person Story”), Chicho (“Royal Flowers”), Cowardly Lion (“The Wizard of the Emerald City”). Acutely sensing the desire of young people to creatively identify, Ruben Simonov actually led the work of young artists on unscheduled, independent work. Thanks to this activity, two first-class professional performances were born: “Russia, Bravo !!” and “Pooh, Pooh, Pooh”. All this time he did not leave acting work.
