Tver Theater for Young Spectators

The Tver Regional Theater for Young Spectators was founded in 1932. In the late 1930s, the Tver Regional Theater for Young Spectators was recognized as one of the best theaters in the USSR and took part in the final round of the 1st All-Union Theater Review of Young Spectators.

In July 1941, in connection with the outbreak of World War II, the Tver Regional Theater for Young Spectators temporarily ceased to exist. The theater reopened in 1960 in a building - a monument of architecture of the XVIII century, which remains to this day. Tver Regional Theater of Young Spectators in 1960 was headed by N. Marshak. The troupe of that time joined a large group of young actors, graduates of the theater studio at the Leningrad Youth Theater. At the end of the 1960s R. Viktyuk directed the Tver Regional Theater of Young Spectators, the event was his performance “Cunning and Love” based on the play by F. Schiller . At different times, the theater team was led by directors L. Yashchinin, V. Antonov, V. Khlestov, V. Bogatyrev, S. Kuzmin, L. Lelyanova , V. Lymarev; the performances were staged by the artists: A. Briklin, I. Sosunov, M. Tikhomirov, Y. Zeide, A. Ivanov, E. Byrdin; Among the leading artists - M. Boer, M. Petrova, K. Krainev, M. Mironov, O. Solodukhin, V. Yakovlev. The Tver Regional Theater for Young Spectators is a participant in the Rainbow festivals in St. Petersburg , the Theater of Childhood and Youth - XXI Century in Voronezh , the festival of chamber performances based on the works of F. M. Dostoevsky in Staraya Russa , and the Moscow International Festival of Chamber Theaters “Slavic Crown” ". Tver Regional Theater of Young Spectators received awards in various nominations.
