Evening Shade is a prototype of the city for the American Evening Shade sitcom ( Rus. Evening Shadow ) with Burt Reynolds in the lead role.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city of Evening-Shade has a total area of 4.14 square kilometers, and there is no water resources within the boundaries of the settlement.
The town of Evening Shade is located at an altitude of 143 meters above sea level .
Demographics
According to the 2000 census [1] , 465 people, 137 families, 204 households and 244 residential buildings lived in Evening Shade . The average population density was about 113 people per square kilometer. The racial makeup of Evening-Shade according to the census was as follows: 98.49% White , 1.51% - representatives of mixed races. Hispanic accounted for 0.22% of all city residents.
Of the 204 households, 28.9% raised children under the age of 18, 53.9% were married couples living together, 10.3% of families had women without husbands, 32.8% had no families. At the time of the census, 31.9% of the total number of families lived on their own, while 17.2% were single elderly people aged 65 and over. The average household size was 2.28 people, and the average family size was 2.88 people.
