The phone was announced on January 7, 2010 at the Consumer Electronics Show [2] , and was launched on the market by the British mobile operator O 2 on April 13, 2010. At first glance, HTC Smart looks like it works on Android . It has the same HTC Sense proprietary user interface as the HTC Desire award-winning designer. But still, this is a regular entry-level mobile phone based on Qualcomm's Brew Mobile Platform operating system without multitasking support and a centralized application store with a meager selection of pre-installed applications [3] . Its resistive 2.8-inch TFT touch screen with a resolution of 320x240 pixels and 65 thousand colors is not as bright and clear as on more expensive smartphones. On it, practically nothing can be seen in direct sunlight, and its reaction to touch is much worse than that of capacitive screens, such as the iPhone . HTC Smart is equipped with a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash and the ability to record video in MPEG-4 format at a speed of 15 frames per second, a standard mini USB port for connecting to a computer, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a media player that supports many music and video formats, as well as a slot for memory cards standard microSD 2.0 and FM-radio with RDS support. It does not have Wi-Fi or GPS , which are a mandatory feature of most smartphones [4] . Not the fastest 300 MHz Qualcomm MSM 6290 processor [5] with 256 MB of ROM and 256 MB of RAM has low power consumption , which in combination with a powerful 1100 mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 370 minutes of talk time and 600 hours of talk time expectations. The weight of the phone is 108 grams. The specific absorption coefficient of electromagnetic energy is 1.19 watts per kilogram [6]
HTC Smart supports four bands of the EGSM standard for digital mobile cellular communications: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, GPRS , EDGE , as well as 3G HSDPA / WCDMA 3G mobile data transmission protocols in the 2100 MHz band.
