The source is located in the forest east of the city of Rzhev. Connecting in the central part of the city with Kholinka flows into the Volga .
History
In the autumn of 1942 (during the second Rzhev offensive operation), bloody battles with German troops were fought on the territory of Rzhev, at the mouth of the river, at the place where it merges with Kholynka.
