General Information

The first seeding number in the single player tournament was Timea Baczynski (No. 46 in the world at that time). The Swiss confidently won a couple of starting matches, but did not reach the quarter-finals; in her absence, the title was played by the second and sixth seeding rackets: Romina Oprandi and Alize Cornet . The match between the Italian and French women stretched out into three games, where in the decisive set the more highly seeded athlete confidently proved her advantage. By the semifinal stage of the championship, Oprandi was the only tennis player who did not represent the host country, and Cornet, at the same time, was the only seeded Frenchwoman.

The double title went to the unseeded team: the alliance Lucia Gradecka / Petra Tsetkovskaya played against seeded rivals in each of their three matches and won in each, only bringing the fight to the decisive game only once. The opponents of the Czechs in the final match were the team of Joan Raluc Olaru / Olga Savchuk .
