Album concept
From the annotation in the annex to the disk:
The name IAO is kabbalistic identical to the Beast and its number is 666 . Performed in the tradition of the long studio works of Zorn “Godard”, “Spillane”, “Elegy”, “Kristallnacht” and “Duras”, but completely unique in form and content, the “IAO” is a hypnotic seven-part suite about alchemy, mysticism, metaphysics and magic - black and white. Partly inspired by the esoteric works of Aleister Crowley and his magical follower director Kenneth Anger [2] , these seven acts range from hypnotic exotic, ritual percussion and death metal to ambient, electronics and an amazing piece for a female choir. As diverse and listenable as the album The Gift (English) , and as puzzling as Songs from the Hermetic Theater, IAO is a major new work by the New York maestro of the unexpected.

Notes
- ↑ About the disc “IAO (Music in Sacred Light)”
- ↑ A very clear allusion to this is the title of one of the songs - “Lucifer Rising”: one of Kenneth Enger 's most famous films is also called “Lucifer Rising” ( 1980 ).
