Biography
Born on September 3, 1954 in the village of Novoselovka, Dnipropetrovsk Region.
After graduating from high school and serving in the Soviet Army , in 1977 he graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Industrial College and began working at the Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after Petrovsky electrician electrician repair. Then he worked as an assistant to the milling machine operator, milling machine operator of the hot rolling mill of the sheet-rolling workshop of this plant.
In 1983, he graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute with a degree in metal forming and was qualified as a metallurgical engineer. He worked as a senior foreman of the “550-2” mill, in 1987 he was appointed deputy chief engineer for rolling production - the main distributor.
In 1988 he was appointed head of the section rolling shop.
From 1995 to 1999, he worked as chief engineer - first deputy director of Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant named after Petrovsky. "
Since 2000, T. G. Shevchenko worked as the chief engineer of the Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works ( Lugansk Region ), and since 2002 was appointed its General Director. [one]
Since September 11, 2017 - General Director of MMK named after Ilyich.
Awards and titles
- The title of Hero of Ukraine (with the award of the Order of the State, 11/21/2007 - for a significant contribution to the development of the metallurgical industry, the construction and commissioning of the oxygen-converter shop of the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant, and high professionalism).
- He was awarded the Order of Merit of the III degree ( 2006 , for a significant personal contribution to the development of the domestic metallurgical industry and many years of conscientious work).
- Honored Metallurgist of Ukraine.
- Honorary Citizen of the city of Alchevsk ( 2006 , for his significant personal contribution to the social and economic development of the city, extraordinary decisions and high production achievements, the introduction of new technologies, and the promotion of the social and cultural development of the city).
