Age limit

The minimum age for participation in the tournament is 16 years, the maximum - until 2012, 19 years old, from 2012 - 21 years old (the athlete has the right to participate in the tournament until the end of the year in which he turned 21 years old).

Since 2017, separate tournaments have been held up to 19 years and up to 21 years.

Tournament History

In 1977 and 1978, the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) held the European Speedway Championship for riders under 21 years of age. In 1979, it was decided to open the tournament, that is, to allow riders from other countries of the world to enter the tournament.

In 1998, it was decided to rename this tournament, following common sense, into the Personal Junior Speedway World Championship (also under 21 years old), and in its place to hold the Personal European Junior Speedway Championship under the control of the European Motorcycle Union (UEM) for riders up to 19 years.
