Khasis, Abram Isaakovich

Abram Isaakovich Khasis ( 1894 - December 14, 1927 , Guangzhou ) - Soviet diplomat .

Biography

Member of the First World War and Civil War (on the Southeast and Turkestan fronts).

Member of the RSDLP since 1916 .

In July-August 1918 - Commissioner of the 1st Smolensk Infantry Division.

In 1924 he graduated from the eastern branch of the Red Army Military Academy .

He worked in the Far Eastern department of the NKID .

In February - April 1925 - Secretary of the Soviet Consulate in Shanghai , in April 1925 - December 1926 - in the same position in Hankow . Since December 1926 - Vice Consul in Guangzhou (Canton).

On December 14, 1927, along with five other consulate workers — Ukolov, Popov, Ivanov, and Makarov — he was killed by Chiang Kai-shek troops during a raid on the Soviet consulate general in Guangzhou.
