Kere [4] or Zemochere ( Osset. Zemochere [5] ; cargo. ზემო ქერე - Zemo-Kere ) is a village in the South Caucasus . According to the jurisdiction of South Ossetia , which actually controls the village, it is located in the Tskhinvali region , according to the jurisdiction of Georgia - in the Gori municipality .

Geography
It is located in the southeast of the region near the border with Georgia proper , southeast of the village of Diseu .
Population
According to the 1989 census, out of 122 residents, Ossetians made up 100%. Then, after the events of the early 1990s, the village was burned down and mostly empty [6] [7] .
