Sports career
She started practicing rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 8 at the Young Dynamo team under the guidance of the honored trainer of the USSR Olga Buyanova .
In 2008, in a company with Beijing Olympic champion Eugenia Kanaeva and Alexandra Solovieva, Dasha won the World Cup among club teams. The Russian Gazprom team was a cut above the runner-up of the Ukrainian Deryugina School and the bronze medalist of the Azerbaijani Neftchi. The athlete did not leave a chance to her peers in the individual championship. Dmitrieva left Melitina Stanyuta from Belarus and Aisha Mustafayeva from Azerbaijan out of work [1] .
At the Russian Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics 2009, which was held in Penza, she won 3 medals. For the debutant of the adult tournament Dmitrieva, these competitions were very successful: in the exercise with a ribbon, Daria took a silver medal, with a ball - a bronze medal, and after performing with a hoop she went up to the highest step of the podium [2] .
At the world championship in rhythmic gymnastics held in the Japanese city of Miya, Daria Dmitrieva, in the company of her titled compatriots - Olympic champion Beijing Eugenia Kanaeva , Daria Kondakova and Olga Kapranova - became the world champion in the team event [3] .
Already during the Olympic Games in London , a few days before the start of the rhythmic gymnastics competition , it was announced that the Russian national team would be replaced and together with the recognized favorite of the competition, Evgenia Kanaeva, instead of Alexandra Merkulova , Daria Dmitrieva went to London [4] . The decision was made during control training [5] ; according to the head coach of the national team Irina Viner , the decision was largely due to a small injury to Merkulova [6] .
Daria started the post-Olympic season extremely unsuccessfully - at the end of February 2013, an operation on her right ankle was performed in one of the German clinics Dmitrieva. The operation was successful, but recovery was slow. Neither Daria nor her coach Olga Buyanova made official statements about the end of her career.
In September 2013, she completed her sports career [7] .
Personal life
In August 2015, Daria married hockey player Alexander Radulov [8] . November 11, 2015 the couple had a son, Makar [9] . On June 5, 2017, the couple divorced [10] .
