The Itelmen mythology is the mythology of the Itelmen , a small people living in Kamchatka . Includes cosmogonic myths and tales of interaction with the other world. The central mythological hero is Kuth , the creator of everything, having a family and numerous descendants.
The first legends of the Itelmen were recorded by S. P. Krasheninnikov and G. V. Steller during the time of the Great Northern Expedition [1] . The largest number of folk stories recorded by the Russian-Soviet ethnographer V. I. Yokhelson [2] .
