Story
All residents of Hathabadi are exceptionally positive people. They are friends with neighbors, come to each other's rescue, drink only tea, and all are vegetarians. It was here that the son of the legendary Raj Kapoor Rishi appeared, when Raj and his wife were here. Now Rishi has grown up and decided to get involved in politics, and came to his native village to agitate voters. He promises the villagers that he will live here permanently, build a train station and conduct electricity, but it turns out that he has completely different plans ...
Behind Rishi Kapoor the film crew of the film in which he is currently filming is being pulled. Strangers disturb the peace of Hathabadi.

Criticism
Film critic gave the film 3.5 out of 5 stars and called it a gem worth watching. [1] NDTV’s Anupam Chopra gave the same rating, adding that Chintu-ji is a modest and delightful film that will make you smile for a long time after you leave the cinema [2] . Critic rated the film 3 out of 5, noting that despite its shortcomings, this hearty and charming film ultimately far surpasses the theme of [3] .
