    It flows in a southeast direction along the territory of the urban district of Shakhovskaya , Volokolamsk and Mozhaisk regions. It originates from the village of Repotino, Shakhovsky District, flows into the Moskva River 358.3 km from its mouth, near the village of Bolshoye Tesovo , 7 km north-east of the city of Mozhaysk .

    On the river are the villages of Klementyevo , Shebarshino and Avdotino , the village of Bolychevo [2] . In the XI-XII centuries, the city of Iskon stood on the river.

    Hydrology

    Length - 77 km, basin area - 542 km². Tributaries: Talitsa , Kolopovka , Pednya and Tyazhenka - right; Palna and Pozhnya are leftists [3] . Flat type. The food is mostly snow . Iskona freezes in November - early December, opens in late March - April [2] .

    Attractions

    In the upper and lower reaches, Iskona is built up with summer cottages and is of little interest to tourists, in contrast to the middle course of the river with its picturesque steep banks. [2]
