Biography

Alvaro began his career in 1997 at São Paulo, where a year later he won his first trophy - the state championship. In 1999 - 2000, he played in Goiyas, as a player whose player received a call to the Brazilian Olympic team. He took part in the Sydney football tournament, and spent 6 matches for the national team.

In 2001 he moved to Atletico Mineiro, but six months later the Spanish stage of his career began. For 7 years in Spain, Alvaro was a solid player in the base of three clubs - Las Palmas, Zaragoza and Levante. As part of Zaragoza in 2004, Alvaro won the Royal Cup and Spanish Super Cup. During the time spent in this country, Alvaro received Spanish citizenship.

In 2008, Alvaro moved to the Brazilian “Internacional”, in which, in December, became the winner of the South American Cup. The next year, Alvaro won three titles at once as a part of two clubs - at the beginning of the year he won the Rio Grande do Sul state championship (in this tournament the footballer managed to score one goal), then he won the Suruga Bank Cup. On August 8, Alvaro transferred to Flamengo, with which the player eventually became the champion of Brazil. It is noteworthy that his former club “Inter” took second place, retaining the chances of a championship until the last round.

In 2010, he played 18 matches for Flamengo (11 in the Carioca League, 5 in the Libertadores Cup , 2 in the Brazilian Championship ), but after the end of the one-year contract, Alvaro became a free agent.

February 13, 2010 , during the semifinals of the Guanabar Cup, the football player announced that he had been a fan of Flamengo since childhood:

I have been rooting for Flamengo since childhood, ever since I lived in Nilopolis.
