The Dyomino ski center is a sports and recreation center located on the left bank of the Volga River in the Rybinsk district of the Yaroslavl region , 20 km from Rybinsk , 70 km from Yaroslavl and 350 km from Moscow [1] . In Dyomino, a 3.75 km long ski-roller track was built, as well as 5 and 10 km long ski runs, which received the certificate of the International Ski Federation . The ski stadium in Demino seats about 7,000 spectators (about 25,000 people can watch the competition along the course) and is one of the largest in Europe [2] [3] .

Content
History
"Demino" as a ski center began to develop since 1975. The championship of the RSFSR of 1978 and the USSR Cup of 1979 were held here. Then came the period of oblivion [4] .
In 2001, NPO Saturn and the administration of the Yaroslavl region decided to revive the facility. Over the 5 years of the construction of the stadium, more than 500 million rubles have been spent [4] . In 2003, Demino received the status of a regional center for sports training by order of the State Sports Committee of the Russian Federation [1] . On January 19, 2007, the grand opening of the ski center took place. The stadium has become the only stadium in Russia that meets the requirements of the International Ski Federation [5] . In December 2018, a biathlon shooting range was commissioned at Dyomino [6] .
Sports Competition
Since 2004, DEMINO began to host Russian skiing championships . Since 2006, Demino has been conducting the stages of the FIS World Cup in cross-country skiing [7] . Also regularly held competitions in cycling , skiing , running , triathlon and other sports. The Cup of Demin Marathons has become a traditional multi-stage competition. This Cup includes such mass competitions as a ski marathon, a bicycle marathon and an athletics half marathon. Both professionals and amateurs, as well as adults and children, can participate in Demina marathons.
The Demina ski marathon is one of the most popular in Russia (more than 1000 people at the finish), since the 2012/2013 season it has been included in the international series of Worldloppet ski marathons.
The Deminsky bicycle marathon in 2010 brought together 250 participants [8] . In 2011, the cycling marathon was among the three best cycling marathons in the country, as well as the most massive in the number of participants at the main distance. Dyominsky cycle marathon is included in the Cup “ Bicycle marathons of Russia ”.
Interesting Facts
In 2010, the largest log wood in Russia was built in Demino from the trees felled by a strong hurricane - round, 22 meters high, 10.5 meters in diameter at the base and 3 meters at the top [9] .
The presentation clip of the 2010/2011 cross-country skiing World Cup in Demino was made by the workshop of cartoon artist Oscar-winner Alexander Petrov [10] [11] .
