Burmese boxing ( Burmese လက်ဝှေ့ ), or letvei, is an ancient martial art from Myanmar , similar in its technical presence to other Indo-Chinese martial arts, such as Pradal Serey ( Cambodia ), Tom ( Malaysia ), Muay Thai ( Thailand ) and Muay Lao ( Laos )

History
Letway was created based on martial arts from India and China , especially known as musti-yuddha and shoupo .
Burmese Boxing Development in Russia
In 2007, Vladimirov Denis Vladimirovich, Nikolaev Andrey Alexandrovich founded and with their like-minded people created an unregistered Burmese Boxing Federation of Moscow.
In 2009, the All-Russian Public Organization “Burmese Boxing Federation of Russia” was founded and registered. [one]
In January 2012, the World Championship in Burmese boxing among professionals was held in Myanmar, where the national team from Russia took part for the first time. FBBR President led the team by two-time world kickboxing champion D.V. Vladimir Vladimirov [ what? ] . The participant from the Russian team Artem Serikov won a landslide victory in the final and became the first foreign athlete in the long history of the championship to receive the highest title in the weight category up to 72 kg.
