Pokshenga ( Pokshenga ) - a river in the Vinogradovsky and Pinezhsky districts of the Arkhangelsk region , the left tributary of the Pinega River ( Northern Dvina basin ).

Geography
The length of the river is 170 km, the catchment area is 4960 km² [2] .
Pokshenga begins in the very southwest of the Pinezhsky district of the Arkhangelsk region, three kilometers from the border with the Vinogradovsky region. At first, Pokshenga flows to the northwest and flows 7 km through the territory of the Vinogradovsky district. Pokshenga then turns northeast and the remainder of the path moves approximately in that direction. Pokshenga 35 km flows along the border of the Vinogradovsky district with Pinezhsky and finally flows into the territory of the Pinezhsky district. The banks of Pokshenga are quite abandoned throughout. Occasionally there are fishing huts. High water in May - June. It freezes at the end of October - November, opens at the end of April - May. The food is mixed, with a predominance of snow. Pokshenga is a floating river.
