Sedov, Vladimir Konstantinovich

Vladimir Konstantinovich Sedov (1948–2013) was a Soviet and Russian theater director , Honored Artist of Russia (1999) [1] .

Biography

In 1970 he graduated from the Theater School. M.Shepkina (course M.I. Tsareva ). At the end of the school one season 1970-1971. He worked as an actor in the Yaroslavl Drama Theater. F. Volkova . From 1973 to 1978 he worked as an assistant director at the Moscow Theater. Lenin's Komsomol . From 1979 he was the director of the Maly Theater . In addition, he staged performances at the Tallinn Russian Drama Theater (in 1978 and 1989). Since 1989, the director of the Moscow New Drama Theater [2] .

For the director's handwriting, Vladimir Sedov is characterized by strict drawing, accuracy and depth of psychological analysis. Sometimes, in the formulation of classical works, he refuses to be accurate in the historical and everyday details in costumes and scenery, in order to aggravate plot collisions, generalize philosophical perspectives and highlight the emotional game of actors [2] .

Suddenly died on May 28, 2013 in Moscow in his apartment.
