“The Investigation of Jordan,” or “The Dead Don't Lie” ( born Crossing Jordan ) is an American crime television series that aired on NBC from September 24, 2001 through May 16, 2007. Actress Jill Hennessy starred in the title role of forensic expert at the Boston Forensic Bureau Bureau Jordan Cavan. Together with her colleagues in the bureau and police detectives, she is investigating the deaths of people who have fallen into the morgue.
