Balantak is a people living in Indonesia . They live in the east of the island of Sulawesi , as well as in the north of the Bangai archipelago in the administrative district of Bangai (provinces of Northern and Central Sulawesi ). The total number of 40 thousand people.

Content
Language
They speak the language of the Balantak , or Kosian, of the West-Austronesian group of the Austronesian family. Indonesian is also common.
Farm
They are engaged in manual farming - they grow upland rice, yams , taro , millet, go on to cultivate flooded rice. Coconut palm is important in the household. Fishing on the coast is also well developed.
Settlements
Traditional settlements are scattered, modern ones are compact. Pile houses, made of bamboo and sago palm , rectangular.
