General Information

On the eve of the 1986 season, Moroccan organizers bought a place on the calendar of the second most important professional men's tour - the ATP Challenger series. After four years as part of this series, the tournament was transferred to the main ATP series. Since 1992, the competition has become one of its regular tournaments in the base category.

From the first year of its holding, the tournament was named after Hassan II - the current king of Morocco . After his death in the summer of 1999, the name of the competition was retained.

Winners and finalists

The single tournament three times obeyed the Spanish tennis player Pablo Andujar - in 2011-12 and 2018. The Argentine Guillermo Perez-Roldan did this twice in 1992-93. Also, the single successes of the Moroccans in the home tournament accounted for a single competition: Younes El Ainawi played three times in the finals (and won one title), and Karim Alami and Hisham Arazi - once. The doubles tournament was submitted three times to the Romanian tennis player Horia Tekeu - in 2010-11 and 2014. Moroccans played in the finals of the doubles tournament once: Hisham Arazi and Karim Alami lost the title match of the 1997 tournament.
