Upon accession to the throne, the kagan sent Minister Inanzhu (伊 難 珠) to wed Princess Ye Hu (葉 護 公主). The embassy had 2,000 people, 20,000 horses, 1,400 camels, it was the largest embassy from the "barbarians". The embassy was detained in Taiyuan , and only 500 people were allowed into the capital. The daughter of the late Tang Xianzong Taihe (太和 公主, en: Princess Taihe ) was to marry the kagan. Enraged by the Uyghur-China Union, the Tibetans attacked Beithin and Ansi, but the kagan ordered 10,000 soldiers to be sent to help Tang.

Marrying Taihe

The emperor had to incur large expenses: to build the princess’s palace to receive the embassy, to appoint the princes as guards, to collect gifts for the Uyghurs. Taihe received the title of Ren-xiao-duanli-mingzhi-shanshou-kedun (/ khatun ) and she was sent to the kagan with a magnificent procession. For 100 li before the bid, the kagan wished to see the bride, but Hu Zheng, the head of the guards, refused him. Upon the arrival of the princess, the ceremony began. Kagan sat at the gate of the tower facing east. Below were the yurts for the embassy. Taihe emerged from the stretcher, who managed to change into a Uigur dress: a red caftan, a short dress, a headdress in front and behind was sharp. She bowed to the kagan and returned to the palanquin. Nine ministers took the stretcher and surrounded them around the horde headquarters 9 times in the sun. Taihu stepped out of the stretcher and sat down next to the kagan, the Uighurs greeted her. She put her yurt next to the Hagan, and two ministers stood at the entrance. When the embassy gathered on the return trip, Taihu was ordered to keep the feast, but wept bitterly, saying goodbye to her relatives. Kagan ordered to richly bestow ambassadors.

In Hebei , tzedushi rebelled and the kagan sent Li Yijie (李義 節) with 3,000 soldiers to help the emperor. In Ordos, imperial officials stopped the Uyghurs and gifted them and told them to return. In fact, the advisers were afraid to let the Uighurs into China because of their love of robberies.

In 824, the kagan died. His younger brother, Hesa Tele (曷 薩特勒), became Zhaoli Khan .
