“Limoges” is a French football club from the city of the same name, currently exists as an amateur club and plays in one of the lower regional leagues. The club was founded on May 31, 1947. It holds home games at the St Saint-Lazare Arena, which seats 1,916 spectators. At the end of the 50s of the 20th century, Limoges played in Ligue 1 , the top French division. In total, Limoges spent 3 seasons in the top division, the last of which was the 1960–61 season. The best result of the club in the championships of France - 10th place in the season 1959-60.
