Order “For Valiant Mining Work” ( Ukrainian Order “For Valiant Mining” ) - the state award of Ukraine ; It was established in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on September 2, 2008 . The order has three degrees, the highest is I degree.

According to the Charter of the order, approved by the President of Ukraine , the order was established to reward citizens for outstanding labor achievements in the extraction of coal, iron ore, non-ferrous and rare metals, manganese and uranium ores, and mining.
Awarding the Order "For Valiant Mining Labor" is carried out by decree of the President of Ukraine. A person awarded the Order for Valiant Mining Labor is awarded with the badge of the order and the order book of the established form.
Awarding the order may be carried out posthumously.

Award History
- On September 2, 2008, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law of Ukraine No. 345-VІ “On Improving the Prestige of Mining Labor”, according to which, by amending the Law of Ukraine “On State Awards of Ukraine”, a new state award of Ukraine was established - the order “For Valiant Mining Labor” I, II, III degree.
- On April 30, 2009, Decree of the President of Ukraine V.A. Yushchenko No. 282/2009 approved the Charter of the order, which includes a description of the signs of the order. [one]
Awards
- On August 27, 2010, by Decree of the President of Ukraine V.F. Yanukovych No. 874/2010 “On Awarding State Prizes of Ukraine to Coal Mining Workers”, the first 19 people were awarded the Order for Valiant Mining Labor of the III degree for their significant personal contribution to strengthening the state’s energy potential, many years of dedicated mining work, high professionalism and on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Stakhanov movement and Miner's Day [2] .
- On August 25, 2011, the Order for Valiant Mining Labor of the III degree was awarded to another 27 people. [3]
- February 23, 2012 the order of the III degree was awarded to the underground miner - foreman of the integrated treatment team of the joint-stock company "Manganese mining and processing plant" P. I. Dzyabenko [4] .
- On July 4, 2012, the Order of the III degree was awarded to the miners' foreman at the site of the Pokrovskoye Mine Management Office joint-stock company (Pokrovsk) V.F. Zubak. [5]
- On August 24, 2012, the Order for Valiant Mining Labor of the III degree was awarded to another 47 people. [6]
- On January 22, 2013, the Order of the III degree was awarded to RN Bednosheev, a miner of the face of the separate unit “Progress Mine” of the state enterprise “Torezanthracite” (Donetsk region). [7]
- On August 22, 2013, another 30 people were awarded the Order for Valiant Mining Labor of the III degree. [8]
Description
The badge of the order “For Valiant Mining Labor” is made of rock crystal and has the shape of a straight equilateral cross with pointed edges. In the center of the cross there is a rhombus medallion covered with white enamel, which depicts the small State Emblem of Ukraine . Under the small State Emblem of Ukraine there are crossed pickaxes and yellow metal hammers. The medallion is framed by an image of a ribbon interlaced in the corners, covered with dark red enamel with the inscription "For Valiant Mining Work." At the top, the ribbon is framed by branches of bay leaves, at the bottom - oak leaf. The cross is superimposed on a quadrangular star with scattering faceted black rays.
The size of the sign of the order between the opposite ends of the cross is 42 mm. The back of the sign is flat with an engraved number for each degree separately.
Using a ring with an eye, the cross is connected to a rectangular metal block covered with silk moire ribbon of dark red color with stripes of blue and yellow. Pad size: height - 45 mm, width - 28 mm. On the back of the pad there is a fastener for attaching the badge of the order to clothes.
The plank of the Order for Valiant Mining Labor is a rectangular metal plate covered with a corresponding ribbon. Strap size: height - 12 mm, width - 24 mm.
Order For Valiant Mining Labor, First Class
The badge of the Order of the 1st degree is made of silver .
For the badge of the Order of the 1st degree - the inscription, the image of the branches of laurel and oak leaves, the springs of the cross and ribbon - made of yellow metal.
The badge of the first degree badge is made of yellow metal and is tightened with a ribbon with one yellow stripe in the middle 10 mm wide and two blue strips on the sides of 2 mm each.
Order of Valiant Mining Labor, 2nd Degree
Badge of the Order of the II degree - made of nickel silver .
For the badge of the Order of the II degree - the inscription, the image of the branches of laurel and oak leaves, the springs of the cross and ribbon - made of white metal.
The badge of the order badge of the II degree is made of white metal and is tightened with a ribbon with two yellow stripes in the middle, 6 mm wide each and three blue stripes on the sides, 2 mm each.
3rd Class Order of Valiant Mining Labor
Badge of the Order of the IIІ degree - made of nickel silver .
For the badge of the Order of the III degree - the inscription, the image of the branches of laurel and oak leaves, ribbons, springs of the cross and ribbons - made of white metal.
The badge of the IIII degree badge is made of white metal and is tightened with a ribbon with three yellow stripes in the middle 4 mm wide each and four blue stripes on the sides 2 mm each.
Wear Order
The Order “For Valiant Mining Work” of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree is worn on the left side of the chest after the insignia of the President of Ukraine - Cross Ivan Mazepa .
