Unior dd

• 1919 - Engineers Mirko Bremek and Walter Mach founded the Styrian Iron and Steel Company in Zreč, where the Unior company is located to this day. The plant was engaged in the production of forged tools for farming, coal mining and artisans.
• 1947 - Restoration of the factory after the war, renaming to the “Forged Tool Factory Zrece”.
• 1950s - The development of two areas of production - forged blanks and hand tools.
• 1970s - The plant is given the new name, “Unior, Zrece Forged Tool Factory”. The development of a new direction - tourism. The construction of a ski resort in Rogla, and the Olympic Center in Pohorje, as well as the Terme spa in Zreče.
• 1980s - Unior becomes a partner in the European automotive industry. Deliveries are made for companies such as BMW and Volkswagen .
• 1990s - Increased exports of hand tools, the creation of an extensive distribution network throughout the world.
• 1997 - Unior receives the status of a joint stock company. Certification of activities and products in accordance with ISO 9001 .
• 1998 - 2010 - Foundation of subsidiaries in Greece, Italy, Spain, Germany, USA, Russia, Australia, China, Romania.
• 2000 - 2010 - Acquisition of a 60% stake in Store Steel doo. Acquisition of RTC Krvavec (tourism). Foundation of the company Unior Bionic doo for the production and sale of medical equipment.

Unior is one of the largest and most important Slovenian exporters. Today, the company includes five divisions specializing in the following areas: forging, powder metallurgy, hand tools, machine tools, tourism. The UNIOR group of companies includes 9 manufacturing enterprises, including Store Steel metallurgical plant, providing production with its own raw materials. The company UNIOR operates in accordance with the international quality system ISO 9001 .

Hand tool
The production of hand tools is more than one third of the total production of Unior. The range of Unior professional tools includes more than 5000 items: wrenches, socket heads and accessories, articulated-lip tools, screwdrivers, plumbing gauges, torque tools, pneumatic tools, tool furniture, specialized tools for servicing and repairing cars and bicycles.

Forged blanks
The production of forged blanks is the oldest line of activity from which the formation and development of the company in its current form began. Products in this area are used in the automotive industry, in the manufacture of metal parts, as well as other units of the Unior plant. Hot forging of steel, machining of blanks, cold heading are carried out.

Powder Metallurgy
Products in this area are in demand by machine-building enterprises and automotive industries. In addition, products made by powder metallurgy are used in the manufacture of household appliances, hand and power tools, industrial compressors and hydraulics.

Machine tool industry
The production program includes the creation of machines for the serial processing of forged blanks or aluminum castings. The program includes the development and manufacture of:

• movable chambers for processing material;
• carousel machines;
• deep drilling machines;
• machines for finishing.

Tourism
Due to its favorable geographical position and healing climate, Rogla has become a great venue for both winter and summer vacations. Not far from the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana ( Ljubljana ), the tourist center Krvavets is located, which is a great place for skiers and snowboarders. The thermal spa of Terme Zreče with a total area of ​​more than 1600 m² is a health resort of a wide profile. Health center Roman baths - a medical center with the possibility of receiving outpatients, functional diagnostics rooms, an operating unit and a hospitalization unit.

In 2005, LLC Unior Professional Tools was registered in Russia - a subsidiary and an official representative of the Unior dd plant. The company’s central office and warehouse are located in St. Petersburg, and separate divisions (office and warehouse) are located in Moscow and Yekaterinburg.
