Geographical position
The village of Gavrontsy is located on the right bank of the Vorskla River, the village of Slinkov Yar is located upstream at a distance of 1 km, the village of Petrovka (Poltava district) adjoins downstream, and the village of Glody is on the opposite bank. Adjacent to the village of Stasi .
History
In 1689, a letter was issued to Gavrontsi to military comrade Chernyak [2] .
In 1858, Maria Bashkirtseva was born in Gavrontsy.
At the end of the 19th century , the village had 186 yards and 1,047 inhabitants.
