Biography
Born December 29, 1919 in Avdeevsky district of Donetsk province.
In 1935, her father died and her mother remained with ten children in her arms. Vera, having finished six classes, went to Stalino to look for work.
She settled on mine number 8 ("Vetka"). At first she wore in the face of the lamp. After graduating from the locomotive driver courses and evening school, she began to work on the rise. In 1941 she went to Kharkov to the courses of radio telegraphs. There she found the Great Patriotic War .
Vera first came to cavalry troops under the command of Marshal Semyon Timoshenko, and then served as an armored radio operator. At Stalingrad her contused and wounded. Left the hospital continued to fight: liberated the Carpathians, Berlin, Prague. She returned home as a sergeant [1] December 29, 1945 - on her 26th birthday.
She continued to work at the mine, first a loader under the lava, then she was a machinist of the ascent — first underground, and then on the surface. Family
